Things to talk about while coloring
Houses come in many shapes and sizes, and people live in apartments, trailers, farmhouses, and more. Talk about what your home looks like, including the color of your door. Ask who lives in this little house and make up a short story about them. Some houses are made of wood, others of brick or stone.
Coloring ideas
Let your child color the house to look like your own, from the roof to the front door. The windows can be light blue for glass, and the round bush can be green with a few red berry dots. Add a path from the door to the edge of the page with a crayon.
A little learning
This page has a triangle roof, a rectangle door, and square windows, which makes it perfect for naming shapes. Counting the panes in each window adds a small counting job.
