My Goals page with three empty stars to draw in, New Year activity

My New Year Goals Coloring Page

Three big empty stars wait for your child's goals for the new year. Younger kids can draw a picture, like riding a bike, while older ones write a word or two. Keep it somewhere visible and check back in spring.

Paper

Free for personal and classroom use.

Things to talk about while coloring

A goal is something you want to do or get better at. This page has three big stars, so your child can choose three goals for the new year, like learning to ride a bike, writing their name, or helping feed the dog. Keep goals small and doable, and celebrate progress along the way. Hang the finished page where your child can see it, and check in on their goals each month.

Coloring ideas

Have your child draw or write one goal inside each star before coloring around it. The bubble letters at the top can be filled with a bright color, and each star can be outlined in a different color.

A little learning

Writing or dictating a goal inside each star builds early writing skills and gives kids practice putting their ideas into words.
