Things to talk about while coloring
Valentine's Day falls on February 14, and people share cards, kind notes, and small treats with family and friends. Many classrooms swap valentines, so this page is a nice way to talk about including everyone. Help your child make a list of the people they would like to give a valentine to this year.
Coloring ideas
Color the bubble letters red and pink, or alternate colors letter by letter across each word. Fill the big heart frame with a soft background color, and give each little heart floating around it a different shade. Older kids can add stripes or dots inside the letters.
A little learning
Hunting for the letters in VALENTINE that also appear in your child's name is a fun letter-matching game, and counting the letters in each word adds a little math.
