Things to talk about while coloring
Unicorns are imaginary animals from old stories, usually shown as a horse with one spiral horn. This one has a heart on its side and stands on a fluffy cloud with hearts floating around it. Ask your child to make up a short story about where this unicorn flies on Valentine's Day and who it visits.
Coloring ideas
Pastel colors like pink, lavender, and light blue look lovely on the wavy mane and tail, and you can repeat them in the floating hearts. Make the heart on its side bright red, the horn gold or silver, and leave the cloud white with a soft gray edge. Older kids can add a few sparkles around the horn.
A little learning
Counting the floating hearts around the unicorn, then finding the one heart that is on the unicorn itself, practices counting and careful looking.
