Things to talk about while coloring
Ankylosaurus was covered in bony armor plates, almost like a living tank. The big club at the end of its tail was made of solid bone and was probably swung to protect itself. It was a plant eater that munched on low-growing plants like the ferns around it here.
Coloring ideas
Color the armor plates in a checkerboard of two colors, or give each plate its own shade of brown or green. The tail club can be darker than the body, and the feathery ferns look great in two shades of green. Use a lighter color for the belly and face so the armor on top stands out.
A little learning
Most of the armor plates are rounded squares, so name the shape as you color each one and count how many fit in a single row.
