Long-necked brachiosaurus eating leaves from a tall tree, coloring sheet

Brachiosaurus Coloring Page

A long-necked brachiosaurus stretches high to reach the treetops. Its neck alone was longer than a school bus, which helps kids picture just how huge it was. Older children can draw a tiny person beside it to show scale.

Things to talk about while coloring

Brachiosaurus had a very long neck, and its front legs were longer than its back legs, so it stood tall like a giraffe. That height helped it reach leaves high in the trees, just like in this picture. It was a plant eater and one of the biggest animals ever to walk on land. Ask your child to stretch up as tall as they can and pretend to munch leaves like a brachiosaurus.

Coloring ideas

Soft gray, green, or blue suit the long body, and older kids can add darker spots or stripes down the neck. The tree, bushes, and hill behind give plenty of room for different greens and browns.

A little learning

Comparing the dinosaur, the tree, and the small bushes is an easy way to practice size words like tall, taller, short, and shorter.
