Things to talk about while coloring
Lambs are baby sheep, and many are born in late winter or spring. Sheep live in groups called flocks and spend much of the day eating grass. Their curly wool can be sheared off, usually once a year, and spun into yarn for sweaters, hats, and mittens. Check a sweater label at home to see if it is made of wool.
Coloring ideas
Leave the curly wool white or color it a soft cream, with a pink or tan face and ears. The daisies can be white with yellow centers, and the meadow can be bright green. Older kids can draw a little fence or a barn in the background.
A little learning
Lamb starts with L, so practice the L sound and list other L words like leaf, little, and lily.
