Things to talk about while coloring
A baby horse is called a foal, so some people call a baby unicorn a foal too. This little one is sitting in a patch of flowers with big, sparkly eyes and a tiny horn. Talk about other baby animal names your child knows, like puppy, kitten, calf, and chick. Ask your child what name they would give this baby unicorn and what it likes to eat.
Coloring ideas
Soft pastels like light pink, mint, and lavender suit this baby unicorn, with a brighter color for the mane. The flowers around it are a great place for variety, and older kids can make every flower a different color with a yellow center. Leave the white sparkle spots in the big eyes uncolored so they shine.
A little learning
Counting the flowers and naming the flower parts, like petals, center, and stem, builds early science vocabulary.
