Things to talk about while coloring
A dreidel is a four-sided spinning top used in a game played during Hanukkah. Each side has a Hebrew letter, and the letter it lands on tells you whether you take or give coins or candy. The faces on this dreidel are blank, so your child can draw letters, symbols, or their own designs on each side.
Coloring ideas
Give each visible face its own color, like blue, white, and silver, then color the handle on top. The curved motion lines can be a lighter shade so the dreidel looks like it's spinning.
A little learning
Talk about the dreidel as a shape with flat sides and a point, and count the sides you can see compared with the four it really has. Spinning a real dreidel or a small top after coloring is a hands-on way to talk about balance and motion.
