Large Star of David made of two triangles, coloring sheet

Star of David Coloring Page

A large Star of David is made from two overlapping triangles. Point out the triangles and count the six points, which makes this a good shapes lesson too. Blue and white is traditional, but any colors your child chooses will look bright.

Things to talk about while coloring

The Star of David is a symbol of the Jewish people and appears on the flag of Israel. It has six points and is made from two triangles laid over each other, one pointing up and one pointing down. Trace each triangle with a finger to find them. Some families hang the star in a window or wear it on a necklace.

Coloring ideas

Blue and white are traditional colors for the star, and the sparkles around it can be gold or silver. Older kids can color each small triangle around the edge a different shade and leave the center hexagon a solid color. For an easy version, color the whole star blue and leave the background white.

A little learning

This page is full of triangles, so count the small triangles around the outside and name the six-sided shape in the middle, a hexagon.
