Happy Thanksgiving bubble letters with a pumpkin and leaves to color

Happy Thanksgiving Coloring Page

Big bubble letters spell out Happy Thanksgiving above a pumpkin and two oak leaves. Kindergartners can trace each letter with a finger before coloring, which builds early writing skills. Finished pages make simple placemats or a welcome sign for the front door.

Things to talk about while coloring

In the United States, Thanksgiving falls on the fourth Thursday of November, and Canada celebrates its own Thanksgiving in October. It's a day for sharing a meal and saying what we are grateful for. Ask your child to name one person and one thing they feel thankful for this year, and write their answers on the back of the page.

Coloring ideas

Bubble letters are fun to fill with one color each, or with stripes and polka dots for older kids who want a challenge. Color the pumpkin orange with a green stem, and try red on one oak leaf and gold on the other. Count the letters in each word before starting, so your child knows how many bubble letters are ahead.

A little learning

Point to the H, T, and G, say each letter's sound together, and then spell THANKS out loud one letter at a time.
