How to write a capital D
- Pull a straight line down from the top line to the bottom line.
- Go back to the top, make one big curve out to the right, and come back in at the bottom line.
How to write a lowercase d
- Start just under the middle dashed line and make a small circle, curving up and around to the left first.
- Pull a tall line down the right side of the circle, starting at the top line and stopping at the bottom line.
Teaching tip for D
Lowercase d starts with a c shape, then gets its tall line. If a child starts d with the line, they usually end up with a b.
