This free letter K tracing worksheet gives your child rows of capital K and lowercase k to trace, then blank lines to try on their own. Pick a line size for their age, print it on Letter or A4, and practice for five minutes a day.
How to write a capital K
- Pull a straight line down from the top line to the bottom line.
- Start at the top line on the right and slant in to touch the line near the middle.
- Start on that slanted line and slant down and out to the right to the bottom line.
How to write a lowercase k
- Pull a tall straight line down from the top line to the bottom line.
- Start at the middle dashed line on the right and slant in to touch the tall line.
- Start on that slanted line and slant out to the right to the bottom line.
Teaching tip for K
The two slanted lines of k look like an arm and a leg kicking out from the tall line. Lowercase k is the same idea, but its arm only reaches the middle dashed line.
