This free letter N tracing worksheet gives your child rows of capital N and lowercase n to trace, then blank lines to try on their own. Pick a line size for their age, print it on Letter or A4, and practice for five minutes a day.
How to write a capital N
- Pull a straight line down from the top line to the bottom line.
- Go back to the top and slant down to the right to the bottom line.
- Pull straight back up to the top line.
How to write a lowercase n
- Pull a short line down from the middle dashed line to the bottom line.
- Start partway up that line, make one hump over to the right, and pull down to the bottom line.
Teaching tip for N
Capital N goes down, slants down, then climbs back up, so the slant always runs from top left to bottom right. Lowercase n is one hump, like a small bridge.
